My top six tips to colour the world around you good

Want some tips to colour the world in and around you good?  Let’s get started.

Now, I am not a fairy. I do not hold a magic wand and walk around enchanting the world. Well, I sort of do.  Over the years I discovered my own ways to be in the world and here they are:

A LIKE AWARENESS

And by that I mean self awareness. I reckon Daniel Goleman’s words will be the best here to describe it:

Self-awareness means the ability to monitor our inner world – our thoughts and feelings

It is only when we take a look at our inner world, see what has been going on there, admit we made a mistake, we hurt somebody, we f*ked up, we said something hurtful, make peace with that and accept it as an indispensable part of our human existance and move on. You no longer need to feed yourself with: I should have done that or I shouldn’t/I could have done it the other way. Personally, I think that being self aware is equal to being an active participator in your life rather than a passive observer.

 Once I began to stop and be conscious and reallign, things started to shift.

 

I no longer was reacting to issues in the same way. I was able to pause, see what was not working for me, I was able to see patterns through which I was sabotaging my life. It definitely paid off.

 

B LIKE BLESSING

Blessings rock. I wholeheartedly recommend to bless everyone you pass, every person you talk to. WHY? the answer is simple: Blessings raise both your vibe and the other person too. I remember walking many times, particularly in the morning and saying : ‘I bless you” to every single person I saw. I blessed a dog, birds, I blessed tha passing cars, a bus driver,  It felt good. If felt warm on my heart. And blessings have really high frequency  thus why not make it your daily thing? I assure it does make you feel great. Try it for a day and see how your day goes. After my morning blessing ritual, I am still buzzing and I am basking in that feeling. Today as my day unfolds I will do the blessings as I go, because:

they freaking rock!

 

C LIKE COMPLIMENT

This is another amazing tool to raise your vibrations and others too. I remember having really hard time accepting compliments. It felt like they never belonged to me.

I felt awkward!

and my very first response was: Who? Me? – no, do not say that. Look at my hair, disaster!  You have lovely shoes – my repsonse was: my mum bought them, I do not really like them. To be honest, I was not even keen on receiving them, forget about giving ones to other people. A huge shift came from Louise Hay books – she was a true gem of promoting self love ( my post here about her rules for loving yourself). I remember when I first started doing mirror work and say things like: You are pretty, You have beautiful eyes, Your smile is lovely, You are the sunshine, you rock Monika.

It felt uncomfortable and bizzare even.

However, with practice it has become easier. I receive and give compliments and the smile I see on other people faces is the greatest reward and I am sure they feel the same way too.

 

D LIKE DREAM

Dream whatever you like and I mean it. Dream daily about your desires like they are alredy in your life. while you do it, start thinking how you feel having the love of your life, how you feel driving your car, how you feel being a writer, how you feel being a singer, how you feel living the life you desire. Dreams when accompanied by emotions manifest easier. Do not forget to take action though. That helps! 🙂

 

E LIKE EASE

I love the word and it was my 2017 word. Hey do you guys have your 2018 word by the way?? No, not yet? Then think about it as it is great have a focus word for the full year. Things are happening amazingly right now for me as I deliberately concentrate on my 2018 word. Now, EASE is my favourite one and I always add it to my day when I dream it or bless it. My mentor Lana is the queen of ease and manifesting and she was the one that instgated that in me even before I joined MYLA.

Wonderful experiences began to appear once I added the feeling of ease to whatever I was doing and I can surely say that 2017 was the year of  ease for me.

Ease is easy.

Wherever you go, whatever you do every day, make sure you add pinch of ease for smoother paths, harmonious relationships, uplifting conversations, great sales, prompt completion of projects. for me it is like adding that extra ingredient to your favourite dish just to make it taste better. Ahhhhh… what a feeling 🙂

F LIKE FLOWER POWER

I love flowers, I mean I simply can not imagine life without them. Flowers make me feel happy, make me smile. Every week, I buy a bunch of them because I feel like it. no occasion. just a wish. It has been my ritual for quite a while . Do you have your favuorite ones? I do and it depends on the season too. Nowadays I go for tulips and daisies. I can not wait for summer and sunflowers. There is something magical when it comes to being surronded by flowers. I feel free. I feel connected. My soul sings. And I guess the feelings of connection and joy I have inside start expanding to the outside world too.

How I overcame the craziness of being unorganised and tired when flying home

 

First of all, I must say flying was definitely not my cup of tea. Nope. And it was not for being afraid of being up in the air. I hardly ever get scared or anxious when boarding a plane. What was driving me crazy in the past, was the fact that I totally sucked in organizing stuff for my flights home which was making me fatigue most of the times.  Looking for flights, booking the bus tickets, preparing my snacks for travel ( I used to just get some random fruit and sandwiches which I was buying in the local shop), leaving  home on time, getting the right bus ( I was a master of getting the wrong ones ie. an hour later bus which made me feel anxious whether I would manage to do the checkin on time), organizing transport from the airport and eventually getting sh.. done when I am actually at my destination. I felt frustrated. I felt angry. I felt like I was always in a hurry. Quick. Quick. You gotta hurry up Monika – I kept telling to myself . AAAHHHHH.  I kept cursing and saying: What the f..? Next time, I am definitely getting better. Next time, I will be more efficient. Eeee. No. That did not happen that rapidly. I went like that for years and then I said: NO MORE! I mean there had to be more pleasant way to deal with it. Because you see when I am going home, it is not like I am going to have there only relaxing time with my family. It also involves my dentist check ups ( Yes, I still trust my dentist since I was 12 years old),  my further family visits ( they all live minimum 1 hour drive from my home town), shopping ( I still have this crave for some Polish brands – shoes baby!) and some paperwork stuff as well.

And since I have been flying home quite often, the arrangement of stuff to do was overwhelming most of the times. Luckily, it has changed for good and I have had very peaceful and flowing time. How did I do it? I planned in advance. Yes. Nothing strange. No app needed. NO. Just pen and paper. And it works every time. It does!

What I do is creating a to do list and to be list for the voyage and time at home. You may be wondering what the to be list is. You can check my past post about it here: http://www.zesty-life.com/to-be-list-say-what/

For each day, I simply write down a mini plan with date and time and a to be list – it is simply a list of feelings I wish to experience before, during and after travelling.  I sometimes take a photo of it to have it handy on my mobile. ( Yes, I am sometimes forgetful! ) Both lists make my travels easier and hassle free and then Law of Attraction is taking care of everything as I am already in a vibration of having all sorting out for me in the best possible and smooth way. When writing that plan, I feel like I am already experiencing what I wish to experience.  🙂

Five main benefits I gained from meditating every day

I have been meditating for over a year regularly. Although the beginning was quite rocky: not being able to sit still for five minutes, getting angry at myself that I can not complete that simple task, I managed to calm my mind and continued that wonderful journey of meditation. Yes, it was hard as I thought I would be able to meditate like straight away and was putting myself under the pressure of twenty minutes which I just could not accomplish. To be honest, throwing myself into twenty minutes was like swimming for five minutes with no wet suit in Galway Bay in January, with no former swimming at all. It was frustrating so I reduced the “pace” to five minutes to start with. And I can not stress enough the number of “positive side effects” I have experienced and those are my TOP FIVE:

 

ONE

I approach my days with a quiet and balanced mind. My new normal is aiming toward feeling calm and quiet the moment I wake up.

 

TWO

I feel happier. I feel content. I am stress free. It is like my mind is an empty bowl ready to be filled with the beautiful thoughts. If sometimes I wake up and already know it is not my day, mediation does its work and allows me to have the space to vent not feeling great into more pleasant feeling. For instance if I wake up feeling angry, afterwards I tend to feel resentful. Getting one step closer to feeling better.

THREE

Meditation had enhanced my  focus and attention.  It has been way easier for me to concentrate on particular tasks and things I want to do.  My mind tends to  follow its compass  to be focused on what I choose.

FOUR

My Intuition has evolved enormously.  I always listen to my heart – my inside voice which  guides me whether I am looking for an answer for a particular question or a choice I am about to make. However, due to meditation, it has doubled. I am truly amazed!

FIVE

My self – awareness has increased in a sense that I have become more present with my feelings, my strengths. I think I even became more creative. And also I made myself a priority – my self care.

Try it. Be it two or five minutes to begin. Try to make meditating your habit so it becomes indispensable part of your daily routine. Like brushing your teeth.

Leap leap leap step

Today, I am making a leap step towards having more FAITH in myself, my abilities, my potential, my can do attitude, being able to give and receive love, in being at peace, kinder, loving towards others. I am taking the big leap of trusting myself and allowing to completely embrace Who I Really AM 🙂

Here I go again… TO BE list to love yourself

So today  as I was feeling kinda under the weather, I reminded myself of the TO BE LIST and I decided to write it down. My list came a bit longer than usual and I owe it to the mood I got into. I just wanted to move into the direction of feeling happier. I got into a meditative state, sitting quietly for ten minutes and I asked myself : Who do you want to BE truly today, Monika? and here it is the list that evolved:

* KIND to myself

* LOVING to myself

* SUPPORTIVE to myself

* APPRECIATIVE of myself

* MOTIVATING to myself

* CHEERLEADING to myself

* MOTIVATING to myself

* PAMPERING myself

We all deserve joy and bliss in our lives. In order to feel them we gotta love ourselves. Truly. Madly. Deeply. Unconditionally.  What’s your TO BE list to love yourself? 🙂

Have a cuppa of self love

You crave that cuppa of coffee in the morning and you crave it later while on “coffee break”. It gives you  boost

(apparently), it smells lovely, it just tastes good. And you don’t even have to think  twice about getting that cuppa. You know it is your thing so you are getting it. The coffee smell is spreading around you, you feel good. You feel warm and rejuvenated.  You have a first sip – aaawww what a feeling!

It amazes me how much attention we are giving to a cup of coffee. And I was also one of the people who was a coffee enthusiast. It surely was my thing at 11 o’clock every day. And I have been pondering lately about applying those feelings of warmth, joy, happiness, energy and boost to ourselves. What a great cuppa of self that would be!  Self love is an indispensable part of my life and I wish everyone could practise it on daily basis.

So perhaps next time you have your cup of coffee and you come up with all those wonderful benefits it has, write them down and say it to yourself day by day. Check it out and share with others. More love to yourself means more love around you and beyond.

"Follow me" – says Heart – "Follow me" – screams Head.

“Yes, that’s it” , ” That’s the way I am doing it”, “That’s the right thing to do right now for me”, ” I am going to go with option B”. How many of those and many other phrases like that have you told yourself to only end up with the outcome you did not expect? My guess is : numerous.  There was that little voice inside you guiding you, you thought, in the right direction.  The voice was loud and vivid. You thought you were making the good decision. And again, you  failed somehow.

So many of us keep saying:

a) “I am so fed up with my family issues” – but it is your family in the end.

b) ” I am feeling down at my workplace”-  but you are still working there with the same attitude.

c) ” He is getting on my nerves / she just does  not support me at all” – but you are locked in the chain of keep saying: ” But we are so long together”.

And the list goes on and on.

I have definitely made decisions that I would have expected to lead me to the places I wanted to be and to the results I dreamt about. To my despair, I was discovering the ache of failure and disappointment countless times. Eventually, I took a closer look at the way I was approaching  “the making up my mind” theme. I realised that I was overthinking it, getting confused and bringing too much chaos into it.  Making decision is actually a simple task.  There are always two streams that get you in that moment: Head and Heart. It is on you which one you are going  to flow with.  My way of decision making is brought down to three questions:

1. Will saying yes/no to this serve my highest good?

2. Am I ready to face the consequences if something does not work?

3. What will I gain if it works?

I always reckon that if a decision made benefits your life – well then that is always the right direction to go. We need to shift the way we make up our minds if something is not working.

Head or Heart are knocking on your door. Which one will you invite in? and How are you going to approach the process? Choice is yours.

Let the Music Heal Your Soul

I have always liked music and it would always let musci heal my soul. I mean I could never ever imagine my life without it. It has been my ‘happiness’, the source of  joy, peace and inspiration and a remedy for a bad mood. Radio music used to wake me up when I was in high school and when I attended college. It was always a boost of energy!

I listen to the music every day.  I get favourite beats yet they shift with time as well. The most vital thing about music is taht it always makes me smile. Another pastime that  I discovered is singing. I have always wanted to sing, to be able to actually live my life singing. I think it is one of the most amazing gifts all singers have been blessed. I envy them in a good way obviously 🙂  I may not be the best singer and my audience is usually my mirror or window oh and my teacher.

I have always wanted to take up singing lessons and eventually I bumped into my teacher – Lisa while browsing a local newspaper. It’s like the Universe was listening carefully to me as I really really wanted to learn how to sing. The Law of Attraction worked certainly here: I asked for it and I was given.  And I must say I have an amazing, warm and extremely motivating teacher in the world. Not only, is she providing me with great tips and exercises to make my “singing” sound better yet she has been a very encouraging teacher. Now while I am aware that I am only at the beginning of my singing journey ( I just love singing even if I do not sound too good 🙂  )  I realised that I have been gaining something else along the way:  more confidence not only within my voice but within myself.  Personally, the weekly lessons are a soul therapy for me and I have already seen an improvement in my voice ability.  Here is the link to Lisa’s page: https://www.facebook.com/LisaSearyVocalCoach  If you have been thinking about singing lessons – Lisa is the vocal coach you will love 🙂  “

Music gives me a tremendous amount of joy, relaxation and power. And by power I mean it makes me feel conifdent, it make me believe. The lyrics flow and I feel so light and happy and when I close my eyes, my soul gets pumped up and my true voice comes out like a snail comes of out its shell. Its freaking amazing 🙂
